錢凡內利作品體現各種各樣的媒體和材料。他將數據結合更具表現力的創作手法，數位領域的精確度，與人類無法控制的現實間建立張力或對話。常關注人類的形態和心靈：與自身、與他人、空間、時間、行動和累積的關係，將累積的數據經過校準、評估和數位化呈現；簡化為數字、線條和尺寸。作品被南非（Sasol、Absa、Diadata、布隆方丹藝術博物館）、歐洲和美國（紐約現代藝術博物館、史密森尼國家非洲藝術博物館）公共和私人所收藏。

《 Cloudscape》

作品媒材：鐵、除鏽漆
尺寸：4.5公尺（高）、7.6公尺（長）、1.2公尺（寬）

作品的部分靈感來自歷史上描繪的雲中漂浮的山脈，是一幅簡單呈現常見的自然景觀的作品——漂浮在山上的雲。

當觀眾在作品周圍移動時，作品其中的組件元素會變化，不斷地遮蔽、展示雲的圖像。這樣的效果將作品轉變成一個動態的圖表，也暗示了形成該地區獨特且戲劇性地形及地殼運動的能量。

作品的形式也展現了鋼筋籠（用於混凝土建築）的形象，象徵著臺灣強大的經濟和工業實力，於此同時，這件藝術品的結構也是相當精緻，一根根長的垂直鐵桿被謹慎地支撐在一起。而這種形式在強風中會顫動和搖晃，隨著天氣的表現變化，也能夠展示大自然的力量。

Partly inspired by historical depictions of mountains floating amongst the clouds, this artwork is a simple representation of a common site – a cloud floating above a hill.

As one moves around the artwork, its elements shift to constantly obscure and reveal parts of the cloud image. This effect transforms the work into a dynamic graph, suggesting the seismic and tectonic energy of the forces that formed the distinct and dramatic topography of the mountains and valleys of the region.

On the one hand the form evokes steel reinforcing cages (used in concrete construction) and metaphoric of Taiwan’s robust economic and industrial strength, yet on the other hand, the artwork is quite a delicate construction, as the long vertical rods are sparingly braced together. So, the form will vibrate and shake in strong winds, illustrating the forces of nature as manifest in the weather.
